"In the fall of 2007, I moved to Bellingham for school, and was blessed to be able to bring my horse with me. Moving my horse to Bellingham was a long process, full of many trips to "scope out" the facilities in the area. Looking for a place that I could trust to care for my horse and foster a healthy environment for me to be in, I was discouraged after looking at many barns that either were in poor condition or didn't seem to have a friendly group of people. I had almost given up on my search (wondering what I would do with my horse while I was up in Bellingham going to school) when I came across New Song Stables. When I entered, I was immediately greeted by helpful people who were eager to know my name (and my horse's name!) and show me around. I had brought a fellow horsey friend along with me to help me do my "barn search." When we got back into the car to head home, she commented, "Wow, ALL of the horses look so happy!" I knew this was the place that I wanted my horse to be. When I moved my horse in a few months later, I was continually surprised by how friendly, helpful, and caring everyone was. I instantly felt comfortable at New Song and so did my horse. Whether it was the immaculate care of the facility, the dedication to the care of the horses, or the focus on making sure every horse and rider felt welcome, New Song went above and beyond any "barn experience" I had had before. The thing that I appreciated the most about New Song Stables was the commitment to care that stemmed from the genuine LOVE for horses. When I wanted to go abroad for 6 weeks last summer, I didn't have fears or anxiety about leaving my horse for such a long period of time. While I was gone, the people and staff at New Song went above and beyond, making sure that my horse was not just cared for but LOVED ON! I am so full of gratitude and appreciation for New Song Stables. I do not know how I would have gotten through the last two years without everyone there. Words can only come close to, but not adequately describe, how thankful I am for my time at New Song Stables. What a blessing and a treasure!" Keri Legg, September 2009
"I have never boarded anywhere else before just because there was no where in Whatcom County I felt comfortable keeping my horse. I had boarded on and off at New Song since it first opened. New Song Stables is now run far superior to years past. Everything at New Song is Five Star Quality - including the people." Val Watson, 2009
"New Song Stables offers a lovely setting, clean barns and premises. They provide an excellent routine in a clean and safe environment. Turn out is smaller than other facilities but maintained." The Cox Family, 2009
"My initial impression of New Song Stables was that it was very clean and quiet. Other facilities did not feed adequately and had poor management/owner communication." Nina Thompson, 2009
"New Song Stables is a clean, well kept friendly place. I am at New Song Stables today because they provide excellent quality feed, ample bedding, grass turnout, it is quiet, safe and maintained and has an excellent indoor arena." Gem Taylor, 2009
"I thought New Song Stables was way out of our league with our little trail horse but everyone has welcomed us so wonderfully. We have had problems at other facilities in the past that have group turnout such as our horses' tail being chewed on/pulled out by other horses on several occasions or her equipment being destroyed which can be costly to repair or replace. Also there have been problems at other places with our horse not getting her daily wormer consistantly along with quality food. At New Song Stables, we love that our horse is not standing in a mud filled turnout, we love that her stall has plenty of room and bedding which takes care of many potential problems, we love the care she receives and the individual attention each horse is given to assure their needs are met. With a facilty this size that is a very rare find and we have boarded at several other facilities over the years. Thank you New Song and Staff for helping us to keep our horse happy and healthy!" Raelyn Kravetz, 2009
Written on a notecard from a previous boarder to the manager of New Song Stables:
"I just wanted to thank you again for all the attention and wonderful care you've given my horses. It really has been a pleasure being at New Song and getting to know you. With all the stress I've had in my life lately from school, it really helped knowing how well my horse was taken care of. I can't wait to come back someday!" Anonymous, 2007-2008
